At Morrison Brothers Tree Farm we grow a good cross section of shade and ornamental trees that thrive in our Midwestern "prairie climate". Our trees are grown in a clay loam soil, typical of Iowa, which means our trees will transplant onto your site or your customer's site well. Each tree can be specially harvested using either a 15-degree, 32 inch Clegg spade or a 25-degree Dutchman. The Dutchman allows more trees to fit on a truck, while the Clegg gives a flatter bottom (allowing the tree to stand better). The root ball of the tree is then wrapped in burlap and placed in a wire basket. |
